NWJS Xmas Bash 2018
Great Tower map memory
December 8th & 9th saw NWJS meet for the final time in 2018.
On Saturday we visited Great Tower woods on the east side of Windemere where the juniors focused on the Plan stage of Plan, Direction, Picture. In November we had introduced CARE - Control, Attack Point, Route and Exit Direction and the juniors included this in their planning process.
The exercises were map memory with a combination of short and long loops. There was also line exercises later in the day. After lunch we finished with a pairs "chase the bell" exercise.
Saturday evening was spent at Windemere Youth Hostel for a traditional Xmas dinner followed by the Leavers quiz.
Sunday we visited White Moss common where the leavers had organised a series of "fun" exercises.
