A new menu has been added to the Fixtures & Results Menu to include rankings. Along with rankings for individual clubs there is now also a ranking page list a NW ranking table for all NW clubs. All ranking information is taken directly from the BOF website ranking pages. See stack up in this this league table!

At the Club Delegate Meeting in October it was decided to make an early start on preparing for a Lakes 5 event in 2014. We would welcome comments about what the event should consist of, e.g. whether 5 long races is the only (or even the best) format. How about a slight variation?

Below is a list of junior competitions taking place in the next few months...

Peter Palmer Junior Team Relay takes place on September 4/5th in Nottingham.
PFO host the British School Score Champs at Witton Park on October 9th.
SELOC will host the regional round for the Yvette Baker Trophy at Tockholes on October 10th

Media Relationships Course

Reporters The North West Orienteering Association is offering members of ALL orienteering clubs the chance to attend their course in Media relationships. This course will be held on 24th September at Caton Village Hall, Lancaster.

2012 - British Champs

BOF has commissioned NWOA to stage the 2012 British Long Distance and Relay Championships. The events will take place on 5th and 6th May 2012, the bank holiday weekend. The BLDC will be held at Dalegarth in West Cumbria, an area providing the highest quality technical orienteering and which will have a brand new map for the event. The BRC will be held at Helsington Barrows, near Kendal, which many will remember from the final day at 2010 Lakes 5 Days. This too is a superb area and will provide excellent racing conditions with an arena that allows spectators to enjoy the event almost as much as participants.
